Join our Greening Group:

The purpose of this group is to increase urban food production and public access to green space, improve ecosystem functions, beautify spaces in and around the city, and to foster a more harmonious relationship with our natural systems. Also, it provides an opportunity for sharing of knowledge and practical community-based education on the topics that the group's projects cover, including the following:

  • Landscaping, gardening, and farming

  • Permaculture and edible forest gardens

  • Ecological land management

  • Green infrastructure

Become a Trail Ranger:

Are you looking for ways to support the Kingston Greenline, Kingston's growing network of trails and cyclist/pedestrian friendly infrastructure? Check out our Trail Rangers page to find learn more and sign up!

As we monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, we're asking volunteers to conduct self-guided solo or small group volunteer activities along the Kingston Greenline. Let us know if you'd like to discuss a task or be oriented to a trail section. The KLT can also arrange to provide tools, gloves, garbage bags, and other materials if needed. Please follow social distancing and virus spread prevention guidelines while working on the trail. Share your photos, stories, or feedback from your experience on the trail to help us grow the program and show volunteer appreciation. See you on the trail!

Join Our Board:

Do you have professional skills and knowledge that you think would benefit our organization, initiatives or programs? Ask us about the process of becoming a volunteer board member! We hold an open call for applications in the late summer annually.

Sign up for our mailing list at the bottom of the page to make sure you get the invitation to apply to volunteer as a board member! We will be recruiting new board members the late summer/early fall of 2021 and you can check back here then for an application.
