The Kingston City Hall Victory Garden celebrates it’s third year in 2011 The Kingston Land Trust in collaboration with the City of Kingston’s Clerks office presents “Square Foot Gardening: Making the most of what you have” with Farmer Jesica Clark on Saturday, May 1st at 1:00pm

Kingston -  The Kingston Land Trust and City of Kingston’s Clerks Office are gearing up to plant the Kingston City Hall Victory Garden in 2011. To celebrate, Farmer Jesica Clark will present “Square Foot Gardening: Making the most of what you have” on Saturday, May 7th at 1:00pm. Square foot gardening is the practice of planning small but intensively planted gardens. The method is particularly well suited for areas with poor soil, beginning gardeners or as adaptive recreation for those with disabilities. Plans are in the works for city hall garden enthusiasts to maintain the garden throughout the 2011 season with the Kingston Land Trust’s support.

If you wish to volunteer or would like further information on the garden or upcoming square foot garden presentation, please contact Rebecca Martin, Executive Director of the Kingston Land Trust at rebecca@kingstonlandtrust.org or call 845/877-LAND (5263).
