Kingston Land Trust
February / March 2017 e-Newsletter

xxxxxxxxxxxx

The holiday season is upon us, and we’re gearing up for winter. It’s the time when our little land trust takes a step back to review the past year and plan for the next. And it’s also a time to celebrate all of the amazing accomplishments our members and volunteers have achieved.

A hearty thank you, especially, to all of the volunteers who have contributed to this monthly e-Newsletter throughout the year. This month, get to know our great friend and partner Kevin Smith, from the Woodstock Land Conservancy. Read on and you’ll get an update from board member Scott McIntosh on the Kingston Greenline, a virtual-tour of the Kingston O&W Rail Trail from trail coordinator John Grossbohlin (hint: it’s open now and it’s great for cross-country skiing!), and a great introduction to the new “sharrows” in Midtown from Rev. Jim Rowe.

And in this time of giving thanks, we’d be remiss not to thank you, too! To all of our readers, our volunteers, our contributors, and our partners – you keep us going as we tackle our mission to protect, connect and activate Kingston’s open spaces. We hope you’ll continue to join us and support us as we look to a future where our great City has equally great public spaces to play, to exercise, to connect with nature and to connect with each other.

We encourage you to become a member or renew your membership as we embark on the new year, and to stay tuned as we prepare our calendar of events and volunteer opportunities for 2017.

Andi Turco-Levin, Chair of the Board
