Branding Study

June, 2013 – The KLT and the Rail Trail Committee finish a branding study, conducted by Raleigh Green, which results in the creation of the Kingston Greenline concept and vision.The final presentation from Raleigh Green is available by clicking here.

We love the Trolley Museum!

May, 2013 – The City of Kingston and the Trolley Museum of New York agree to terms that free up a portion of the U&D railroad corridor for the KLT to pursue the creation of the Kingston Point Rail Trail.

We love the Land Trust Alliance!

The KLT receives a grant from the Land Trust Alliance to conduct a survey of the City-owned property.

Feasibility Study Complete for KPRT

April, 2013 – Alta Planning + Design completes feasibility study for the proposed Kingston Point Rail Trail. The study was funded by the City of Kingston, through a CDBG allocation, with matching funds provided by the Hudson River Valley Greenway. Click here to download a copy of the final report.

Kingston Clean Sweep 2013

The Kingston Land Trust Rail Trail Committee organized a cleanup of the Kingston Point Rail Trail as part of Kingston Clean Sweep presented by the Friends of Historic Kingston and Kingston Parks and Recreation Department.

Jazz Mixer

January, 2013- The Kingston Land Trust Hosted a Jazz Mixer at the Stockade Tavern in Kingston, NY.  World renowned bassist Tony Levin and his brother, accomplished pianist Pete Levin perform.
