The Kingston Land Trust is a volunteer led and registered 501(c)(3) public charity formed for the purpose of protecting, preserving and restoring urban and rural lands in and around Kingston, NY for the benefit and enjoyment of its residents and visitors. The Kingston Land Trust is an amazing organization made up of a group of multi talented, passionate, dedicated and like-minded volunteers driven to make the Kingston area an exceptional place to live, work and play. The keystone to the successful execution of its vision, mission and related programs is reliant on its collaboration with its many partners and its support base of loyal and dedicated volunteers.

Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity often intended to promote goodness and to improve human quality of life and it gives the individual a form of connectivity to the community and a sense of belonging, pride and accomplishment. Volunteering can be far more than simply doing a good deed. In fact, volunteering can be a great way to learn more about the community and its people, make friends and socialize, garner professional contacts and networks, get exercise, spend time outdoors, or even shake up your usual routine.
