La Tasha is a strong education professional with a Ph.D. from the University of Warwick in Coventry, England, an M.A. from Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and her B.A. from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
As an educator and visionary leader, La Tasha is passionate about building a creative hub in the Hudson Valley that centers the experiences and narratives of those of the African Diaspora. She has joined the Kingston Land Trust's Board to positively impact her local environment and community by supporting a regional initiative that promotes sustainable land use and preserves natural resources. La Tasha is originally from the Bronx, New York, and is of Jamaican descent
